01- Linear Equations and Proportions Review 7th Grade Concepts (Independent Study)
E.O.G. Daily warm-ups Chapter 1 ---> Order of operations, distributive property, Real number and Complex number systems

3= Descriptive Statistics- Line of Best Fit - Non- Linear - Quadratic - Exponential October:
Chapter 5 Continued; use of TI-84 --- > Line of best fit ---> how close the points cluster around a straight line

1) Collect data - to find the relationship between two variables (x,y - input, output,- hours studied, test grades in math over 3 months period); data can be found in tables,graphs, ordered pairs, word problems, equations --> function rules and mapping.

2) Analyze it ( find the slope = m = k=a = delta y/ delta x ---> change in the second coordinates/ change in the first coordinates,
dependent/ independent, vertical / horizontal ---> per unit - per month, each mile, daily ... etc.;
then find the y-intercept = b; always a fixed amount that indicates the starting point of any relationship between input and output (x,y).

3) Predict how reliable is the model in order to be used in future events ( information that is not available); positive correlations, negative, none; examine the residuals r^2 to determine the reliability of the model; +/- 1 = Perfect relationship, which means all points are on the line; the closer to +/- on the number line =.96 or -.96 , the better fit is the model or the model can be used to predict future and or past events.
